HOW DOES INSURANCE WORK?I currently am only accepting self-pay clients at this time. I am considered an out-of-network provider for insurances. Contact your insurance provider to determine if you have out-of-network outpatient therapy coverage. Some questions to consider are: • Do I have mental health benefits? • What is my deductible and has it been met? • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover? • How much will I be reimbursed? (Most insurance companies reimburse between 50-80% after your deductible is met.) Super-bills can be provided to you, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?I require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation. If the appointment is not canceled with 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full session fee.

WHAT IS YOUR FEE AND HOW DO YOU DETERMINE YOUR FEE?I specialize in trauma, specifically complex developmental trauma known as Complex PTSD. In order to be effective and provide my clients with the long-term and lasting change they desire, I must continue to immerse myself in the current research, protocols, and approaches that are constantly changing as a result of advances in science. Learning new protocols, models, approaches, and interventions require me to be in regular consultation with pioneers and leaders in the field of trauma. My current fee of $175 takes into account the personal capital and financial capital of the aforementioned requirements of specializing in trauma-informed care. I am transparent about my fees, in accordance with the No Surprises Act.

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE TO PAY FOR THERAPY?Yes. Many insurance companies reimburse a portion of the cost of psychotherapy. For insurance purposes, I am considered an out-of-network provider and will provide a monthly invoice for you to submit for reimbursement (upon your request). It's best to determine the exact details of your policy ahead of time, including what benefits are available regarding out-of-network providers, by contacting the members services phone number listed on the back of your insurance card. Many times you will find that there is an out of pocket dollar amount that must be reached before your insurance begins paying for mental health services. You can inquire about the specifics of your insurance plan through your insurance's member services.

WHAT IS YOUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR CLIENTS?An effective therapist is informed, available, and attuned. I stay updated on evidence-based psychotherapy research, continuously pursue advanced trainings, and receive ongoing consultation with EMDR experts. I offer a limited number of spots in my practice to ensure that each client receives the attention, care, and responsiveness they deserve. I also regularly make worksheets specific to my clients' needs, in an effort to encourage my clients to stay connected to their therapeutic journey.
